Adding a Chardonnay to our portfolio seemed inevitable, given our deep love for this noble varietal. In 2023 that dream became a reality.
2024 Vintage
2024 was a return to the textbook conditions that make Napa Valley such a remarkable place to grow grapes. Generous winter rains replenished the soils, yielding a healthy canopy that protected the fruit through the warm summer months. Harvest arrived early, and we picked this Chardonnay on August 28th. Each year strengthens our belief that Rutherford is a remarkable appellation for Chardonnay.
2023 Vintage
Bountiful winter rains kicked off the exceptional 2023 growing season. In the months that followed, we saw the longest, most temperate growing season that Napa Valley had experienced in a decade or more. Ideal for finely wrought and sun-kissed Chardonnay. Our single source for Marineau Mills Chardonnay is a vineyard in Rutherford’s western reaches, planted in 1998.
